apeX NA roster moves back to OpTic
Rambo, Scump, BigTymer and Merk move back to their roots with OpTic Gaming
The seemingly unstoppable Modern Warfare 3 team of Merk, Rambo, BigTymer and Scump, who have enjoyed numerous recent wins across two continents, have decided to leave apeX eSports following management troubles inside the organization. apeX's future looked in doubt altogether a few weeks ago, when a number of players left from the Halo side of the organization.
Rambo revealed the news today on Twitter:
We part ways with the organisation with much respect for what they have done for us in the short time we were with them. There are too many issues internally for our comfort and ability to ensure our presence at events in full and fulfillments of our agreements.
We hope the best to apeX and their teams in future events.
More announcements to be made tonight as to where we are going from here.
Thank you to everyone who supports our team, we appreciate it greatly.
#WeBleedGreen
The hashtag "#WeBleedGreen" is an obvious reference to their previous organization, OpTic Gaming, well known for their sniper team and of course their popular YouTube channel.
360icons can now reveal that the highly successful team has now signed back with OpTic and with the financial backing of Eon, they will be able to continue to compete in both North American events as well as European events. Competing in Europe was the major feature of their deal with apeX, and they will continue to compete across the pond, starting with EGL 7 in August.
The previous OpTic Gaming squad, captained by Nadeshot, saw many variations and although strong, they could never reach stability. Nadeshot has decided to step back from OpTic competitive to let the already established team take over the name.
