IcoNs Showcase LAN opens Friday
IcoNs Showcase LAN opens Friday
The event opens Friday with an interactive stream, and continues Saturday and Sunday with 4v4 play.
The IcoNs Showcase LAN opens Friday, June 1st and will feature sixteen of the world’s most talented Call of Duty players. Powerhouse teams like OpTic Gaming, and EnVyUs will be in attendance and battling in a LAN environment to prove their skill. The action will be streamed live all weekend on our event hub page. There you can also find news, pictures and highlights from the LAN to keep up to date with everything that’s going on.
The stream opens Friday at 3 PM EST with a “Viewer’s Choice” stream. The stream will be interacting with its viewers and bringing them whatever they want to see. Public matches, pickup scrims, or player interviews are just a few of the ideas that can showcase the Call of Duty pros as well as get the viewers involved, and make the LAN a fun and enjoyable experience for them as well. Be sure to tune in all day and interact with the stream chat.
The stream continues Saturday afternoon, with four professional Call of Duty teams playing a round robin tournament to display their skills on the sticks. Round robin means that every team will play every other team at least once, this guarantees a fair playing field for everyone, as well as some exciting matches for the stream. The teams in attendance are OpTic Gaming, EnVyUs, Collapse, and an IcoNs pickup team. Each team is stacked with some of the game’s best and most entertaining players like Scump, Proofy, Nadeshot, Revan and more. Stay tuned to our event hub all weekend for a breakdown of the teams and their rosters.

Sunday’s action will continue with a more innovative style of gameplay. Designated captains will draft teams, and players will once again square off in 4v4 matches. This style of play will pit teammate against teammate and offer some interesting matches as longtime friends go head-to-head on the sticks. A draft will also give us more insight to which players are a product of their team’s success and which can be successful no matter who is put around them.
Be sure to tune in throughout the weekend and support the LAN as well as competitive Call of Duty. The stream’s main goal is to bring its viewers everything and anything they want to see during the event.
