Learning to see the puzzle in everything? They're everywhere once you start looking, it's impossible to stop. It just so happens, people and all their deceits and illusions that inform everything that they do tends to be the most fascinating puzzles of all. Of course, they don't always appreciate being seen as such. -Sherlock Holmes

No.
We'd be setting up a randomized bracket and having one player play the other, regardless of which league they're in.

You really just need to think about it for three seconds to realize there's no logical way to put your suggestion into effect with 256 teams.

There's no way to restrict others from signing up anyway. And why would we not want the best of the best participating in our tournaments? I don't want to be handing out prizes to people just because they can win a B-level competition.

Post it as a bronze tournament..and you alrdy have their tag and # so you can see if their lieing...and if they do they can't play in anymore...Or jst have everyone who sign's up post their league so you can match them up tht way...I know the prize pool wld be smaller....I don't know about anyone else but the money doesn't really matter to me, its jst knowing tht i won...

Like I said before, this is a competitive gaming website. We expect the best teams and players to win our tournaments. We don't hold "amateur" tournaments.

You don't want to join unless there's a good chance that you'll win, I get it. Fortunately for you, it's a free entry tournament and so you have nothing to lose by being knocked out by a master. In fact you might actually learn something and have fun. But it seems as if that's not what it's really about for you.

Since when were tournaments unfair when you're playing people who are better than you? That's called life.

Why not let everyone play everyone? Why restrict a rank or whatever it is called in this game? That is like kind of saying only 5th prestige people can play 5th prestige people only. The tournament will fill up with or without you bro no offense. At mlg events do they separate the brackets due to rank or whatever its called in this game? I do not think they do. I could be wrong i do not know shit about the game but i have been watching some streams to better knowledge myself of it. Tournament is a tournament bro.

Like i said i have no knowledge of the game and from what i have read it just seems like you are looking for an easy win. Why have a tournament and not have the best play in it and let the less known try and prove themselves. Is that not that point of having a tournament? Kind of defeats the purpose to only let a certain few play based on what league they are in. Like i said im sure MLG does not do that. But good luck to those who participate. May the best PERSON win.

Nox, I'm feeling like Iceman's comment about you not thinking you have a good chance of winning is holding... dividing the tournament into different sections for different leagues doesn't make sense in the same way that for black ops tournaments on the site, people don't check the GB ladders for team rankings. It's a matter of the /best/ person winning, not the best person within his 'section'. Not only would this require more actual money and organization within the guise of one 'tournament', but it'd be completely plausible that people would manipulate the system by winning/losing rankings to make it into a different ranking where you'd have the best chance of winning.
If anything, including all players within the same standards of brackets should motivate you to get better yourself in order to do better in the game. Work on macro, watch replays, the whole shabang.
